Legislation is pending, S. 278, that seeks to make numerous consumer-friendly changes to the state’s adult-use marijuana laws.

Changes proposed by the legislation include: lowering the state’s excise tax on retail products, increasing the amount of cannabis adults can purchase in a single transaction, eliminating THC potency caps for cannabis flower, and permitting regulators to license delivery permits and on-site consumption permits.

Expanding consumers’ ease of access and reducing cannabis-related taxes will help bolster the legal market while further disrupting the unregulated cannabis marketplace.
