Impact of Prohibition

As the veil of cannabis prohibition begins to lift in our state, we recognize that there is much work to be done to honor those who have been most severely impacted by its prohibition.

The DEA lists cannabis as a Schedule I drug, meaning those convicted face some of the highest consequences on the judicial scale. This classification has spelled trouble for millions of Americans, most notably Black Americans and those who are socioeconomically disadvantaged.

As your Green State NORML chapter, we are here to face these issues head on and actively work to make sure they don’t continue to disrupt lives. We want to hear from you.
