About Us

Our Most Vulnerable

Vermont has long played an important role in the Northeast cannabis industry and beyond.  Vermont is proud to be one of the first states to legalize a retail cannabis market through the legislature.  As this market comes to fruition, we sit at a crucial point in not only our small, self-sufficient state’s history, but in the national discourse around the many benefits of cannabis legalization.  With this in mind, it’s important for those who write and implement the rules and regulations, especially on a municipal level, do so in a fair, just and sustainable manner.

In a country where priority is often given to the wealthy and powerful, we in Vermont look out for our most vulnerable.  With recognition and assistance of the national organization, a Vermont NORML chapter would work to benefit everyone involved in the cannabis industry, not just those on top.

By connecting with the most well-respected and established national cannabis reform group in the country since 1970, we will create the fair and equitable cannabis market Vermonter’s deserve.

Mission Statement

The Vermont chapter of NORML, a nonprofit public-interest advocacy group, seeks to implement a fair and equitable cannabis market in the Green Mountain State. In order to enact social change, we aim to bring attention to both the medical and recreational adult-use communities through representation, legislative reform, and accountability. VT NORML strives to ensure that those who’ve been negatively impacted by cannabis prohibition receive legitimate representation thus ensuring a fair and equitable cannabis market in Vermont.
